Do It For The Gram

Every iconic event needs an Instagram-able moment! At RJ Whyte, we design events with picture perfect moments in mind. This way each and every guest can become an “Instagram Influencer” and promote the host’s brand. To do this, we use dynamic activations that actively engage attendees. Here is a list of some of our favorite activations that encourage guests to post a pic!

Engaging Step and Repeat -  A step and repeat provides a clean backdrop for anyone looking for a photo op. They are often placed best on a red carpet and offers a great branding opportunity. We often work with an amazing step and repeat vendor to provide our clients with a crisp, clean product. Decor vendors also can provide a creative step and repeat alternative like the one picture here!

Photo Booth - A photo booth is a fun, entertaining way that gives guests a photo opportunity. While they can be a simple backdrop with some fun props, there are also many innovations made to the classic photo booth. For example, they can be customized to the event’s theme or include sponsor branding. Check out this awesome gif booth clip of our team at last years RAMMYs!

Instagram Station-  What’s one thing you need to get an insta worthy photo? Good lighting of course! After experiencing this problem ourselves while on site, we now try to integrate instagram stations in our events. A station includes a focused light source, fabric or other material to use as a photo background, props for a pop of color, and best of all a place to hold your phone for the best photo angle. We used this activation at a recent event celebration International Sous Vide Day at the French Embassy.

Food Wall - Who wouldn’t wanna snap a picture of a giant wall of french fries?!? Creating an interactive, unique food display encourages guests to share the creative display with their friends. If you want to integrate branding, add some signage to a food wall like the one pictured here.

Neon Signs- A neon sign is a go-to for our clients who want to light up the room. Not only are they a growing decor trend, but neon signs provide a cute #insta moment.

Customizing a takeaway -  A takeaway allows everyone to get a memento of the wonderful time they had. What’s even better, is when guests leave with a personalized gift made for them at the event. Below is a picture of a customized Stella glass, engraved with a guests name right in front of them. Attendees queued up to receive their gift all while taking videos and pictures of the glass!

Greenery Walls - Personally, one of my favorite backdrops is a greenery wall. Add some up-lights and a few flowers and you easily have the perfect nature scene. And like the food wall, you can incorporate some branding signage or even a neon sign. This design element has been extremely popular particularly with our wedding clients!

Most importantly, no matter which activations you use, have guests tag you! Whether it’s an event hashtag, a mention of your social accounts, or a repost from your page, engage with your guests. This way you can optimize all of your activations and get the most out of your moments of Insta Fame!
